I’m Alma Apostol. I
came to the United States of America as a
professional with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemical
Engineering from the Philippines. In 1980, I became a naturalized
American citizen.
I’ve
worked as a Medical and Clinical researcher; Academia, City and
Biotechnology companies in Illinois and California. I became an expert
in laboratory instrumentations as well as laboratory techniques. I
enjoyed the challenges of discovering and developing methodologies in
the laboratory.
There
were frustrating times but the end results were
very rewarding. I like the fact that I was able to contribute to cancer
patient’s
welfare by developing methodologies to detect cancer cells after
chemotherapy, to help improve the environment as well as consumers by
developing methodologies to detect pesticides in bodies of water such
as rivers, lakes and streams. I was also involved in the studies of DNA
Damage.
I
co-authored articles published in Scientific Journals. These
publications can be retrieved from the library for
scientific references. Some of these articles are published in the
internet.
I'm
also a non-fiction and fiction writer. Some of my articles are
published in the internet.
I
purchased a course: Mini-Site
Creator by Jim Edwards. I'm
building my own mini-sites by following
the instructions from this
course.
Thanks
